GENERAL PART Article 1 1. Principles of medical ethics with the general ethical standards. 2. They oblige a doctor to respect human rights and protect the dignity of the medical profession. 3. Violation of the dignity of the profession is any occurrence of Ź a doctor after that undermines confidence in the profession. Article 2 1. The vocation of the physician is to protect human life and health, disease prevention, treatment, and patients to relieve suffering, the doctor may use medical knowledge and skill in activities contrary to this vocation. 2. The greatest ethical imperative for the physician is the welfare of the patient - salus suprema lex esto aegroti. Market forces, social pressures, and administrative requirements do not exempt the physician from compliance with this rule.
